Ralph K Mulford was a celebrated American race car driver, who planned to build his own car.
Mulford designed his first four-cylinder car powered by a modified Duesenberg engine and, in 1915, he built two prototype cars ready for production but his financial backers took his prototype cars and withdrew financial support.
Mulford tried again with his Mulford Motors Company in 1922. Possibly five cars were produced but, once again, his financial backers withdrew support and it was all over for his company and the Mulford.
Emblem
The originally black painted cast metal Mulford emblem shown above is extremely rare.
