The Traffic was a conventional assembled truck powered by a four-cylinder Continental engine and was claimed by Traffic to be "The lowest priced 4000 lb capacity truck in the world".

Pre-1925 models had an unusual feature in that the chassis frame side members were joined at front and rear by semi-circular members of the same channel steel section with the front cross member serving as a bumper. In 1925, new Traffic models were introduced in which the curved chassis members were abandoned. These trucks were offered in 1-1/2-ton, 2-ton and 3-ton capacity sizes. A six-cylinder model was offered in 1929, the last year of production of the Traffic.

Emblems

Throughout the life of the Traffic truck, the Traffic truck had a cast iron radiator with the "Traffic" name cast into the ribbed radiator tank top, see examples shown below:

This is a surviving Traffic truck radiator showing the painted cast radiator emblem:

The following original photo shows a Traffic truck in 1921. However, the truck may be earlier. The radiator cannot be seen but a "Traffic" nameplate is displayed on the main chassis frame member, see close up shown later below.

The following is a painted, pressed metal Traffic nameplate very similar to the chassis frame nameplate shown above, although I cannot confirm the date of use. This pressed metal Traffic nameplate is rare.

The painted cast aluminum Traffic emblem shown above at the top of this post and again below is seen in early emblem collections and is clearly original but I cannot confirm when or where it was displayed:
