DOVER

Hudson Motor Car Co. (1929-1930)

Detroit, Michigan

This is a Dover radiator emblem (1929-1930)    mjs
Size: 75mm high 55mm wide    MM: Robbins

The Dover was a 1/2-ton commercial version of the Essex Super Six (see Essex) and was offered as a pick-up truck or delivery van using an L-head six-cylinder engine rated at 55 hp. The Dover name was dropped at the end of 1930 and, subsequently Hudson vans and pick-ups were made by Essex and Terraplane under their own names.

Emblem

The attractive Dover radiator emblem shown above is popular with collectors. The Dover radiator emblem is scarce.

Beware, there are reproductions of the Dover radiator emblem but these have flat backs and no maker's mark.
